Art on the Underground

Many of you will have seen the new series of artwork commissioned by ‘Art on the Underground’ on the Jubilee Line. A piece by Irish artist, John Gerrard, “Oil Stick Work” (2008) is projected at Canary Wharf Underground station; the work is a thirty year long film which is currently in its third year. Robert West undertook the structural and electrical engineering surrounding the projector at Canary Wharf.
Amongst other works, Robert West was commissioned to undertake the design of the projector screen, supports and fixing, and the hoarding behind the projector screen. The projector will stay in place until April 2011.
