Park Plaza, One Westminster Bridge

RWC have been providing Transport Planning and Highways advice to this project for nearly two years and have recently achieved a major milestone. Following extensive liaison with TfL and supported by both complicated vehicle micro-simulation modelling and design, permission has been granted to convert the existing highway from a gyratory to a peninsula configuration.

The traffic ‘switch’ takes place over the weekend of 24/25 October, and the new 1100 bedroom hotel (the largest to open in London for 40 years) is expected to open for business early in 2010.
