Case study

Rugby to Nuneaton Remodelling Project

Client: Clough Smith Rail
The project forms a major part of Network Rail's infrastructure investment portfolio. It involves removing track and signalling bottlenecks, allowing a more robust and intensive train service to operate along the West Coast Mainline route. Our involvement was varied, and included the design of signal foundations, drainage, trackside walkways and modifications to various existing structures.

Added value
Through working closely with the contractor, we were able to reduce foundation sizes and provide the right solution for the ground conditions encountered at each specific site. We worked closely with the contractor to provide a total service, from design through design coordination to construction supervision, consistently to tight timescales.

Services

  • Seconded design manager to construction team
