Hindlip Community Sports Village

Client: Sir Bert Millichip (Sports) Limited
This sustainable development will provide Worcester and the wider community with a unique centre of sporting excellence, including a county cricket ground, a multi-use sports hall housing up to 4000 spectators, indoor tennis centre, 50m swimming pool, golf course and academy, football academy, sports injury centre, private hospital and higher education facilities. It will be supported by extensive new infrastructure; over 2,000 new homes, a business park, a commercial and village centre, railway station and extensive park & ride facilities. Significant elements of the scheme are currently designated within areas designated as Green Belt land

Added value
We conceived preliminary solutions for infrastructure and transport improvements in order to demonstrate the deliverability and sustainable credentials of the scheme.. We produced and submitted evidence during the formulation of the South Worcestershire Joint Core Strategy, resulting in the development being identified in the SWJCS Preferred Options document.
