Peter Pawsey
CEng FICE FIHT FCMI FRSA,
Director
Peter Pawsey has enjoyed a wide and varied career generally related to the construction and property sectors, from which he has broadened his areas of interest in recent years. His experience has been both international and unusually broad and varied, including with local government, RDAs, and for central government in the public sector, and in technical consultancies, contractors, facilities managers and developers of various size and status in the private sector. This has given him a unique understanding of different business dynamics, which was particularly relevant when he led the privatisation of Government’s former PSA Projects and its change process to a successful international business. His resultant board experience extends to over 30 years in a variety of business sizes and models.
Since mid 2000 Peter has been a major shareholder in and Chairman of, the Robert West Group of consulting engineers, revitalising and growing the business both organically and through acquisitions. As a Director of Robert West Consulting he is also focused on developing opportunities within the West Midlands.
Between 2002 and 2008 he was a Government appointed Non Executive Director in the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund, a public/private partnership fund investing in infrastructure projects across sub Saharan Africa. Since 2003 he has been Executive Chairman of Advantage West Midlands’ Rural Regeneration Zone, the only rural delivery vehicle of its type in England. During 2007/8 he was Chairman of the Gateway West Midlands part of Business Link, being fully engaged in the establishment of the new organisation and in its further evolution into one combined business, from which point he became Deputy Chairman of Business Link West Midlands. He is also a Director in Sir Bert Millichip (Sports) Limited, a private company engaged in the development of community multi-sports villages.
