Northbrook Outrigger Foundations

Robert West Consulting provided temporary works design for crane outrigger foundations to support the installation of a new DC module at Northbrook Substation. To ensure safe and efficient lifting operations, RWC liaised closely with the crane contractor to fully understand loadings, ground conditions, and operational constraints.

Two foundation options were proposed to the client, offering flexibility to suit site conditions and programme requirements. Both solutions ensured stability, safety, and compliance with temporary works standards, enabling successful installation with minimal disruption to ongoing substation operations.
